EAIS Newsletter

The most recent newsletter of the Egyptian Antiquities Information Service is now available at the above address, in PDF format. The EAIS was set up to "improve the ability of the SCA to map, document and protect archaeological sites in Egypt. The project will establish a technically, institutionally and financially sustainable GIS Center within the SCA".
The newsletter contains information about recent events, Culture Resource Management (CRM) initiatives, a short report on the current state of Karanis in the Faiyum, digitization of official maps in collaboration with Amlaak, fund raising news, and data quality control management procedures.
